Your privacy matters here. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and what you can do about it.
What We Collect
Things you give us directly:
- Contact forms — your name and email when you reach out
- Comments — your name, email, and comment content
- Newsletter signups — just your email address
Things collected automatically:
- Log data — IP address, browser type, device info, pages visited
- Cookies — small files stored on your device that help the site recognize you
How We Use It
We use your information to respond to messages and comments, send newsletters (only if you signed up), improve the site, understand traffic patterns, and filter out spam.
Cookies
We use our own cookies to remember preferences and track how people use the site. You can turn these off in your browser settings.
We also use third-party services that set their own cookies:
Google AdSense — We run ads through AdSense. Google uses cookies to show ads based on your browsing habits. This is how the site stays free. Google may collect your IP address, cookie data, and visit history across sites. You can manage this at Google Ad Settings or opt out at aboutads.info.
Google Analytics — We use Analytics to see which content people read and where they come from. It collects page views, time on site, traffic sources, and rough location (city/country). You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
Social sharing buttons — Pinterest, Facebook, and similar platforms may track your activity when you use their buttons. Check their own privacy policies for details.
External Links
Posts sometimes link to other sites. We have no control over what those sites collect, so check their policies before sharing anything personal.
Your Choices
You can ask us what data we have, request corrections, ask us to delete your info, unsubscribe from emails anytime using the link in any email, or adjust cookie settings in your browser.
To make any of these requests: info@wishesup.com
Children
WishesUp is for general audiences. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you think your child shared information with us, email us and we’ll remove it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data. No website is fully secure, but we do what we can.
International Visitors
WishesUp is based in the United States. If you’re visiting from another country, your data is processed here, where privacy laws may differ from yours.
Policy Updates
We update this policy occasionally. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Major updates get announced on the homepage.
EU Visitors — GDPR
If you’re in the EU, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data. You can also object to certain types of processing or withdraw consent at any time.
We process data based on your consent (newsletters), our legitimate interests (site improvement), or legal obligations (tax records).
California Residents — CCPA
You have the right to know what we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of your data. We don’t sell personal information. We won’t treat you differently for exercising these rights.
